Bans aren't stopping us getting news to Russia
It's been two weeks since the last update - and we've been busy.
Our team have tested and developed a whole series of new ways to get news into Russia in the last couple of weeks, working closely with our Ukrainian friends.
The good news it that our new ideas have mainly worked - some of them spectacularly. Sometimes we're only spending a penny or two to get people to an independent news website.
We've also been encouraged by two more developments:
1. Last week Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny calling for a mass advertising campaign to bring news about the war in Ukraine into Russia. https://twitter.com/navalny/status/1514590609415315460
In other words doing exactly what we are doing. As Navalny says, for the price of one missile a day, we could flood Russia with these ads.
2. In parallel we are continuing to fundraise - from individual donors like you as well as organisations. We are increasingly confident that we can raise enough money to make our campaign even bigger. Please do keep on sharing our campaign with your friends and connections: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/give-russians-real-news-about-ukraine-using-ads
Thanks again for your support,
Rob.
