To support our work over 2026
We occupy a unique space in Liskeard. We were set up by the community of Liskeard for everyone. We’re well-worn, but our welcome is warm and open to anyone who needs us. This is a magical place full of creative activity - a place to meet, dance, make and enjoy! We host sessions for people to make social connection like Stitch Up, Knit and Natter; to gain support like our Women’s Wellbeing Circle, Man Down and Homestart Kernow's Stay and Play. There’s something for everyone and our well-loved space engenders a sense of belonging.
“Liskerrett is so much an important place for me. Each week I know that I will see a friendly face. And it always makes me feel better, always cheers me up!”
Our reach extends to artists who make their home here including Nicky Harwood, Pete Nance and Dance-Centred many of whom open their offer to the community providing dance, theatre and innumerable creative art sessions on an ad hoc and regular basis.
We also host a monthly film night, theatre performances, dance events and a monthly market too… and we contain the best veggie café this side of the Tamar!
In 2025 we reached thousands of people through workshops, the annual lantern parade through town, through performances, through health and wellbeing focused activity and through activity that grows from Liskeard and its community. Tucked away, people somehow still reach us, and we know we make a difference to all those who step through the door.
“I don’t know what I’d do without Liskerrett! My Dance Together class is the highlight of my week”
We welcome your support so that we can confidently forge ahead in 2026 and extend what is possible for those in Liskeard. Where people are lonely, we provide a place to feel at home, where people want to dip their toe into creating something in wool or clay or willow, often for the first time, we provide a safe space so their first steps can be confidently taken, and where people are cold, we open our doors to the warmth inside with many activities offered either Pay as You Can or a very low charge. And we do this without making a fuss, quietly getting on with providing a safe space for everyone.
