Aim

50% complete. Help us bring Gi across the finish line and share this powerful story with audiences worldwide.

Our Story

Gi is an independent British short film written by Jonny Labey, directed by Myles Petford, and proudly produced in association with Rowan Media House.

At its heart, Gi is a story about courage, identity and belonging. Blending dark comedy with stylised action, it follows Remy, a quiet man whose secret passion for ballet leads him on an unexpected journey into a local martial arts dojo. Through movement, discipline and an unlikely community, he discovers the confidence to stand up for himself and embrace who he truly is.

This is more than just a film to us. It's a story that challenges perceptions of masculinity and celebrates the strength found in vulnerability, friendship and self-expression.

We're already halfway there. The first block of production has been successfully completed, with around 50% of the film already shot, including the ballet sequences, opening action scenes and key exterior locations. The footage has exceeded our expectations and reinforced our belief that this is a story worth sharing.

Now we're asking for your support to help us finish it.

Every contribution will go directly towards completing the remaining shoot, supporting our cast and crew, securing equipment and locations, delivering professional post-production, and giving Gi the best possible opportunity to reach audiences through film festivals.

Thank you for becoming part of the journey and helping us bring Gi to life.
