Help Will Porteous Raise £2,000 to Get Elected as Diss & Roydon Green Party County Councillor!
My name is Will Porteous and I am standing to become the first ever Green Party County Councillor in my hometown of Diss & Roydon in South Norfolk. I've lived here for several years now with my young family and I love the community spirit, friendly people and the famous big Norfolk skies that surround this historic market town!
We've never had a Green Party Councillor here but with Adrian Ramsay triumphing as the first Green MP in the East in the 2024 General Election, winning a huge majority against the Conservatives, we know we can win this County Council seat too.
Except this time, the biggest threat to us is no longer the Conservatives, but Reform UK. If you live in Diss, you will remember the flags that lined Victoria Road last Autumn. And you may well have heard about the hateful protests against legal asylum-seeking families, who had been living peacefully in the Park Hotel for the past two years and have now been driven out. We have to fight back against Reform's fuelling of hatred and division.
We are proving time and time again across the country that it's between us and Reform. A vote for any other party will just let Reform in. And we have the data to prove it.
I'm going to need your help with the fight. I've got heaps of enthusiasm, passion and drive, ready to run an energetic, warm-hearted, and hopefully inspiring campaign. But I can't do it without you.
The South Norfolk Green Party works incredibly hard all year round with very little resources. A 3-month campaign costs over £2k, but this is money that we just don't have, unlike Reform UK who can always count on their billionaire, big-business donors.
So I'm asking if you could consider donating to my Crowdfunder. All donations will go straight to the South Norfolk Green Party and will cover the cost of leaflets and social media promotions for my campaign. However small or large, myself and all the volunteers who give up their time for the Green Party here would be so grateful. Thank you! x Will
