The basics
I have a brilliant show (‘Hugely entertaining', according to the British Theatre Guide)
I have a brilliant theatre space who are happy to host me. (Yessss!)
All I need now is money to pay for a brilliant videographer to film the show.
Professional filming will make it easier to market the show in the future.
And THAT is why I've set up a birthday crowdfunder. (I'm turning 43 on 19th June)
The details
The Beauty of Being Herd is probably the thing I'm the most proud of; it's a funny show, but it also touches the heart and speaks to anyone who's ever felt like an outsider.
Recently a couple of very exciting organisations have asked me if there's a copy of the full show.
And there isn't. (Not a recent updated one anyway)
So I'm asking for help to pay for a professional videographer.
If there's any money left over at the end, these are other things I'd love:
- a good radio microphone to protect my voice when I'm in bigger venues. (Bigger venues - dare I dream...?)
- an electronic dance artist to collaborate with to make an ORIGINAL dance track for the rave scene
- help with publicity
Background
I haven't managed to get touring funding yet. And hardly anyone tours without funding these days. Ticket sales aren't enough to fund a show.
I'm not expecting much from this birthday crowdfunder and honestly please don't feel obliged to give anything at all. But if you do have a spare something you'd like to contribute to make my one woman show better, anything would be massively massively appreciated.
As a thank you, I'll film a video with all the lyrics for the song The Thing About Sheep. This will only be sent to supporters.
Whether you donate or not, the best present would be that you please come and see the show. I'm always buzzing to see friendly faces in the audience. (and you might even enjoy it)
