We will be able to pay for our accommodation in full, as well as equipment rental and ground transportation in New York and Austin TX!
Hi! We are GHUM. If you don't know us, we are a band based in London... and we need your help!
We have been invited to play SXSW in Texas (USA); a gorgeous, beautiful showcase festival where the city of Austin fills up with music in every corner for a week. Not only that, we also have been invited to play at The New Colossus festival in New York City. This is another showcase festival happening a week before SXSW. We are very grateful and excited to be on these amazing lineups!
Being invited to these events is a great opportunity for a small band like us to grow and get visibility, but getting to the States is really expensive and being showcases, no, the bands don't get paid! Also, for visa reasons, we are not able to sell our merch or do any other paid gigs while we are there.
We have been working on GHUM for six years, and we released our first album last summer. We have put all the time, effort, creativity and money we can squeeze out of our bodies into the band, but this time, we are going to need some goth angels to help us take GHUM across the ocean.
We've managed to save up and bought our flights but could still use help to pay for accommodations, equipment rental etc. while we're there.
We deeply appreciate any help you can spare!
