Help Ed Gillespie Raise £2,000 to Get Elected as East Depwade Green Party County Councillor!
My name is Ed Gillespie and I am standing to become the first ever Green Party County Councillor in an area called East Depwade, in South Norfolk.
I grew up in South Norfolk and now live in Loddon, just 20 minutes’ drive from Harleston, the main town in East Depwade. Norfolk isn’t just a place I love - it’s part of who I am. I have always felt a deep connection to the county’s landscapes, people and culture. That connection gives me both a personal stake in Norfolk’s future and an understanding of its strengths and challenges.
I’ve worked in various senior roles in sustainability for nearly 30 years. One of the roles I’m most proud of is when I served as a Director of Greenpeace UK. Now I help major UK businesses focus on responsible leadership. I’d like to use the skills I’ve learned to support the East Depwade community.
With Adrian Ramsay triumphing as the first Green MP in the East in the 2024 General Election in this area, winning a huge majority against the Conservatives, we know we can turn this County Council seat Green too!
We currently have four excellent Green Norfolk County Councillors and we’re expecting to more than double Norfolk’s Green Councillors this May.
I've got heaps of enthusiasm, passion and drive, ready to run an energetic, warm-hearted, and hopefully inspiring campaign. But I can't do it without you.
The South Norfolk Green Party works incredibly hard all year round with very little resources. A 3-month campaign costs over £2k, but this is money that we just don't have, unlike Reform UK who can always count on their billionaire, big-business donors.
So I'm asking if you could consider donating to my Crowdfunder. All donations will go straight to the South Norfolk Green Party and will cover the cost of leaflets and social media promotions for my campaign. However small or large, myself and all the volunteers who give up their time for the Green Party here would be so grateful. Thank you!
