Aim
This Prize Draw is in celebration of our Diamond Anniversary. We are raising money to support student participation within our events.
The Prize
We are offering a unique handmade cast of an ichthyosaur fossil from the Etches Collection as the star prize, along with our collection of individual, large, North Sea Maps, going back over 30 years. Having a gorgeous historic map or the unique fossil a for your home office, is both a part of the history of the society and a demonstration of your commitment to the next generation of Energy Geoscientists.
The Cause
The society is raising funds to support student attendance at Energy Geoscience events. Offering the opportunity for University participation where the cost of attendance can prove prohibitive.
Students learn a lot from attendance at events, both in terms of the technical programme but also from learning to network. The energy industry is a real community with Characters, Players and Divas (you know who you are), and introducing the students to this is important for their future career development.
