George's surgery for an external fixator to help reset his broken back leg, after a car accident

George is our 10 month, brindle Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

He loves mature cheddar and frozen carrots. His farts are awful. And enjoys a splash around in the shallows at Fistral beach, digging for mussels.

On Friday morning, George got spooked by a delivery truck and ran out into the road. A car swerved to miss him, but he got knocked sideways by the bumper, and it's back wheels ran over his back right leg.

After being sedated and X-rayed, they said he needed an external fixative to let his back right shin bone reset. (Although thankfully there was no signs of internal bleeding.)

The (cheaper) alternative rather not get his leg amputated. So the the cost of the surgery to save his leg is more than insurance coverage. Then we also have to cover the post-op bandage changing, check ups + the removal of the splint/fixative in 6-8 weeks time.

I work from home for myself + Milo, my husband, is also self-employed, so George's recovery (immobile, in his crate at home) is going to impact our income too.

If you can spare a 5er or a 10 quid, to support Georgie's recovery — as he is such a huge part of our lives — so we'll love you forever. Cheers guys.
