Mae The Lost Words wedi dal dychymyg miloedd o ddarllenwyr ac mae nifer fawr o gynlluniau cyllido torfol wedi sicrhau bod llawer o ysgolion ar draws y DU wedi cael copi o’r llyfr.
Mae Graffeg yn falch iawn i gyhoeddi’r argraffiad Cymraeg (Geiriau Diflanedig) wedi’i addasu gan Mererid Hopwood, i ddod a’r llyfr cyffrous hwn i sylw cynulleidfa newydd o ddarllenwyr Cymraeg.
Dywedodd Jackie Morris ‘Mae gwybod y bydd The Lost Words ar gael yn yr argraffiad hardd hwn yn gwneud i fy nghalon ganu. Mae Mererid Hopwood yn deall y ffordd y mae geiriau’n gweithio, yn medru llenwi’r awyr â rhythmau ac odlau mewnol. Roeddwn i wedi fy nghyffroi pan drodd hi at y gwaith. A rhywsut, yn Gymraeg, mae’r geiriau’n swnio fel hud a lledrith hynafol. Rwy’n gobeithio y bydd ein llyfr – fy un i, Robert a Mererid – yn cyrraedd pob ysgol yng Nghymru.’
Er mwyn cyflawni'r uchelgais hon, mae angen i ni godi £16,700 i dalu i bob ysgol gynradd yng Nghymru dderbyn copi o Geiriau Diflanedig.
Mae Graffeg yn rhedeg hwn fel menter gwbl ddielw gyda'r holl arian yn cael ei godi yn talu am gost uned y llyfr ynghyd â chostau dosbarthu.

The Lost Words by Robert Macfarlane and Jackie Morris has captured the imagination of thousands of readers and a large number of successful crowdfunding schemes have placed the book into many schools across the UK.
Graffeg is delighted to be publishing the Welsh-language edition (Geiriau Diflanedig), adapted by Mererid Hopwood, bringing this thought-provoking book to a new audience of Welsh-language readers.
Jackie Morris says: 'To know that The Lost Words will be available in this beautiful edition makes my heart sing. Mererid Hopwood understands the way words work, makes the air sing with rhythms and internal rhymes. I was so excited when she took on the task. And somehow, in Welsh, they do sound like the ancient magic of conjuring. I hope our book, mine, Robert's and Mererid's, finds its way into every school in Wales.'
To achieve this ambition, we would like to raise £16,700 to cover the cost of donating a copy of Geiriau Diflanedig to every primary school in Wales.
Graffeg is running this as a strictly not-for-profit enterprise with all money raised paying for the unit cost of the book plus distribution costs.

Graffeg are offering signed copies of The Snow Leopard and The Ice Bear, beautifully illustrated large format children’s books by Jackie Morris, in return for £20 donations.
