Aim
Copies of Geddon PZ are being snapped up fast so we are crowdfunding to print more copies for local people and visitors to pick up for free.
Geddon PZ is a creative zine celebrating the stories from our communities and local businesses in Penwith. 1500 copies are currently printed but demand is high, and printing costs, like everything else, have risen significantly.
Our Spring 2026 went out faster than ever, so this Crowdfunder was launched to raise money for a second print run. An extra 400 copies were printed, raising the number of copies to 1900 for our Spring issue - our biggest print run yet in 11 issues.
Though our main audience is locals, this also makes the zine a real local's guide for visitors. Rewards include a option to have a copy posted anywhere in the UK, a printed thank you in the next issue or holiday welcome packs or 15+ copies to give to visitors when they arrive - these are a fantastic way of introducing guests to the local area, while supporting independent businesses in the process.
Independent businesses bring culture, diversity, creativity and personality to a place, and the busineses Geddon PZ works with well worth the hype! The zine's goal is to encourage people to spend their money at independent businesses, supporting our local economy, families and industries. Investment in Geddon PZ is an investment in our community.
Advertising costs are kept as affordable as possible to make it accessible for the smallest of new businesses. You can add a QR for just £5, a mini listing for £14 or a quarter page advert for just £35! I also offer free spaces to charities, CICs and artists, so there isn't a huge margin to play with. So instead, we are inviting anyone who would like to help grow Geddon PZ's print run to support us by donation.
