We run the City's shelter to offer emergency accommodation to get people off the streets during the winter months.
Gloucester City Mission was established in 2003 to support people who are rough sleeping, homeless or vulnerable in and around Gloucester. Until last November we ran a day centre for clients to come for food and support but in response to the changing landscape of support from the local authority, we have completely adapted the way in which we work this year and now operate out of 5 venues rather than one day centre.
We also run a Coffee Shop to offer employment to people who have experienced homelessness, a Shop for clients to come for clothes and toiletries. We serve a hot meal every week and offer mobile outreach to those rough sleeping away from the city centre.
Our Winter Shelter is open from December 1st to March 31st each year. You donation will pay for a bed somewhere safe and warm, it covers all meals (dinner, breakfast and a packed lunch), treats, clothes, laundry, showers and staffing in a secure venue.
