Aim

Raise £2500 to stand Green Party candidates in Greenwich and Bexley at the 2024 General Election

Do you intend to vote Green in the upcoming General Election on 4th July?

We do.

But to vote Green, we need to financing in place to stand Green Party candidates.

How much do we need?

It costs £500 per candidate to stand in a parliamentary election.

To enable everyone to vote Green, we are raising money.

£2500 will enable us to stand our Green candidates in every Greenwich and Bexley constituency.

When do we need it?

We need your contribution urgently.

The deadline for paying the balance is Friday 7th June at 4pm.

We don't have much time.

Why should I donate?

As Greens, we understand that there is a cost of living crisis. There are plenty of requests for money in the world and each has its own merits.

But we truly believe that the path to a better future lies in better political decisions about how we run our country.

It doesn't take winning the seat to make change. A strong vote share for our five candidates will put pressure on the elected representatives to adopt Green policies and make Green Party success more likely in local elections in the future.

We must not fail to stand our candidates.

Who are the candidates?

Each of our candidates are tremendously hard-working local campaigners who live in the Greenwich or Bexley:

  • Stacy Smith for Greenwich and Woolwich
  • Samson Gabriel for Eltham and Chislehurst
  • Sarah Barry for Erith and Thamesmead
  • George Edgar for Bexleyheath and Crayford
  • Brad Davies for Old Bexley and Sidcup

Doesn't the national Green Party provide funding?

Unlike the big two parties, the Green Party is funded almost entirely by its members. We don't take big corporate donations.

Local parties are expected to be mostly self-sustaining through their own fundraising.

We need to find the £2500 by ourselves — we need your help to do that.

Can you donate £25 today?

We know it's a lot to ask, but the time is now.

We need Green Party representation in elections to help us achieve our political aims of material wellbeing for all, intergenerational fairness and an indefinitely sustainable society.

If you can help, please put your hand in your pocket.

100 people giving £25 or more will ensure that you, us and others can vote Green in the upcoming General Election.

Thank you for your support.
