Help Us Welcome Medically Evacuated Children from Gaza
Can you help us provide essential clothes, toys and toiletries for children with medical needs who are being evacuated from Gaza?
After months of working behind the scenes—advocating, negotiating, and preparing alongside our dear friends Project Pure Hope, we are thrilled that the UK government has finally announced that further medical evacuations of children from Gaza to the UK will take place. These children have suffered unimaginable trauma and injury. When they arrive in the UK they will have not only urgent medical needs but practical needs too.
Sanctuary Foundation, in partnership with Project Pure Hope and Baby Basics, was privileged to help welcome the first families to be medically evacuated from Gaza, as featured in the news this spring.
With new medical evacuations imminent, we are getting ready to show the same welcome to the next wave of evacuees.
This is a fast-moving situation—and so we are launching a dedicated emergency fund now so we can respond with speed, dignity, and compassion.
We would love to be able to raise enough money to cover the following:
• 50+ welcome packs containing essential practical support for children.
Each Welcome Package costs £450 and is carefully tailored to a child’s age and needs to include
- Clothing: 5 full outfits, pyjamas, underwear, coat
- Age-appropriate toys
- Toiletries for children and their accompanying adults
- Equipment: cots, car seats, pushchairs, highchairs, and baby feeding

Sanctuary Foundation has been partnering with Project Pure Hope for the past 18 months and we have seen the life-changing impact a small welcome pack can have. .
Any surplus funds will continue to support Sanctuary Foundation’s humanitarian response and ongoing advocacy for the medical evacuation of children from Gaza, as well as the work we are doing to mobilise, equip and support host families.
