We support young people with social, emotional, or mental health needs, low school attendance, specific learning needs or neurodiversity.
Every young person deserves a place where they feel safe, valued and able to thrive.
At Gateway Community Garden in Reigate, our award-winning team supports young people and families facing mental health challenges through the healing power of nature. Our Alternative Learning Programme offers a life-changing opportunity for 14–16-year-olds who struggle in traditional education, providing hands-on learning through horticulture, outdoor activities and meaningful connections.
For many of the young people we support, school can feel overwhelming. Before learning can begin, they need somewhere they feel calm, accepted and understood. Our community garden provides exactly that—a nurturing space where trust is built, confidence grows and friendships flourish.
As one young person told us:
"Going to school is very hard for me. I struggle to handle my emotions. The garden helps me be calmer. I have met people who have become my friends... I feel more sociable and confident now than when I first started..."

Every donation helps us continue providing therapeutic gardening sessions, outdoor learning opportunities and vital emotional support for young people who need it most. Together, we're helping them develop practical life skills, build resilience, improve their mental wellbeing and believe in themselves again.
Whether you can give £10, £25, £50 or more, your support will help us keep this safe haven growing and ensure more young people have the opportunity to flourish.
Please donate today and help us plant the seeds of confidence, wellbeing and brighter futures. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a real difference. Thank you for helping young people grow.
