Garry the Postman

Aim

Raising money for Gary's loved ones.

Garry was more than just a postman; he was the heart beat of the village. 

 We have so many memories of Garry: when we had our youngest, he came in and held him, he got a bit teary, and spoke of his own children. He spent the next year whispering and trying to be quiet and always telling me to look after myself and the baby.

 Over the 9 years we've lived here, our dog always gave Garry a hard time - every encounter with Max, Garry would cajole him and resssure him they were friends. He always spoke kindly. Always.  

The last time I saw Garry, he handed me a hospital appointment letter, he told me to look after myself and take care. He was always caring, always cheerful and always had time for everyone. 

I'm sure we all hold memories of this true gentleman who has gone far too soon. 

If we all chipped in, I'm sure it would help his family at a time that is absolutely unimaginable. 

 Thank you all for your beautiful words. There is now a condolences book in Langdon Church that will be passed to Garry's family. The outpouring of love for him shows what an impact he had on us all. We hope his family may find some comfort in that.
