Garswood Stags Floodlight Project

Aim
To encourage engagement from the local community of Garswood and provide pre-season training facilities for our rugby league team.
Who are we?
Garswood Stags RLFC is an amateur Rugby League club based in the North West. We currently have over 40 players registered to compete at the open age level in the North West Mens League. Garswood is a community that is based on loyalty and respect and our goal is simple, we want to make our club accessible to everyone.
Why are we crowdfunding?
Our home games are played at Tom Nugent Playing Fields where facilities are limited. This forces us to hire other venues for our pre-season training schedule during the winter months. This is a costly expense for our club and difficult due to availability issues.
How we’ll spend the money raised
Our target amount will go directly to purchasing an 8 light portable floodlight system. Any additional funds raised will go towards maintenance and replacements for the equipment when needed.
Community impact
Our project isn't just for our players, it is for our community. We have a loyal following within Garswood and preparation during the pre-season to compete in the North West Mens league will only make affiliations with our supporters stronger.
In the offseason we will be able to offer tick and pass sessions for everyone on our home field. This will allow all ages and abilities to dust off their boots and have a laugh with the players whilst keeping fit!
