Our debut album! 17 years in the making.10 heart-rending tracks. Soaring melodies. Haunting lyrics. Crafted musicianship.
garrett, based in Brighton UK, formed in 1999 - long before crowdfunder, facebook or even google!
The lyrics and chords are written by Guy Garrett, Brighton born & bred, but the songs come to life when arranged by the band.
Our mission was (and is) to play beautiful, yearning songs - and have a terrific time doing it. Mainly gigging in South East of England we had a small but consistent fan-base, who loved us almost as much as we loved them. We recorded the Work of Art e.p. in 2001, and somehow (still not sure how) we managed a live day in BBC Maida Vale studios in 2002 where we recorded the Live at Maida Vale e.p.
And yet we never quite got to produce the big one ... the album.
So, believe it or not, this is our debut album.
17 years in the making!
Please help us make 2016 our year.
Thanks for believing in us.
