Help us create 3 new wildlife friendly community gardens and deliver weekly "Green Therapy" gardening sessions to improve health & wellbeing
Our mission - is to create a greener, healthier and more sustainable future where people and nature thrive. We do this by creating and maintaining beautiful and wildlife friendly community gardens that nurture plants and people. Our lovely, lively team of volunteers invites you to help green the planet with three new biodiverse gardens in Stratford upon Avon.
Three new Gardens of Wellbeing and Green Therapy - we will use all funds to make an impact at each of the three gardens and deliver over 2000 hours of volunteering through our weekly Green Therapy sessions:
1. The Hideaway - at our new nature reserve we will plant 2023 trees this year to soak up CO2 and provide rich protected habitat for wildlife We are planting a magnificent meadow of over 20,000 square metres to provide pollen and nectar for bees and other pollinators. Our new ponds will fill up with life and we hope to attract the great crested newts soon! Our barn owl box has already seen a total of nine owlets hatch in three years. Our butterfly bank will attract a host of gorgeous butterflies and we aim to attract the beautiful brimstone soon.
Donations will help us plant trees at our nature reserve to create the beginnings of a forest area which will help absorb CO2 and provide a rich protected habitat for wildlife. Funds will also help to plant a magnificent wildflower meadow of over 20,000 square metres to provide pollen and nectar for bees and other pollinators.

2. Bishopton Community Centre Secret Garden - We will extend the garden area at the Community Centre to create a accessible low maintenance garden area for visitors to the community centre to use as an outdoor meeting space. It will have a smart seating area with retained trees and wildflower planting, accessible paths with retaining walls/raised beds with water butts and raised planters. In short, a beautiful, biodiverse habitat to relax in and enjoy.

3. Stratford upon Avon Station - Over the past few years we have been working together with Friends of Stratford Station to help beautify the space at the station to make it both pleasing on the eye and more biodiverse and it’s been fantastic to bring together members of the community in doing so. We are now going to create an accessible pollinator friendly garden on the Station Approach with raised beds. You can sponsor a raised bed to help create this new and edible garden and help show what's possible in your own garden in a small space.
