Garden Rooms 'Pay it Forward'
Bournemouth, Dorset, United Kingdom
Aim
Share a little kindness - Buy a coffee or meal for someone who needs it and support our community, in partnership with Bournemouth Foodbank
At The Garden Rooms Café, we believe that no one in our community should have to face hunger or isolation alone. That’s why we have created this pot for a “Pay It Forward” scheme—a simple, powerful way for local people to look after one another. Every contribution to this crowdfunder helps us offer pre-paid coffees, breakfasts and hot meals to anyone who needs a moment of warmth, dignity and connection.
Life can change quickly, and many of our neighbours are facing tough choices between heating, food and daily essentials. By supporting this scheme, you’re not just covering the cost of a meal—you’re offering a quiet act of compassion at the very moment someone needs it most. Whether it’s a parent skipping meals to feed their children, someone experiencing homelessness, or an older resident feeling isolated, your kindness helps ensure they are welcomed with good food and no judgement.
Your donations allow us to create a permanent fund that the café and Bournemouth Foodbank team can draw from whenever someone needs support. This means your generosity continues to reach people long after you’ve contributed—helping kindness grow season after season. Together, we can make The Garden Rooms a place where nobody is left out, and where every meal shared reminds someone that their community cares.
This is also a place you can pay for someone's 'night out.' On the first Friday of every month, we host 'Unplugged at the Garden Rooms'; an open mic night which is sober and guilt free. We welcome the community to attend without the high cost attached to socialising and connecting in 2026.
How can you help? What can I purchase?
You can make a donation on this virtual pot and leave us a comment on your purchase. We will then transfer your purchase to our on-site pay it forward board so that anyone in need can take a ticket and use at the counter.
