Aim

“Supporting Tullylish Gaelic 4 Mothers & Others with kits and pitch hire to keep women active, connected and improving wellbeing.”

Our team is made up of local women who are part of the Tullylish Gaelic 4 Mothers & Others group. We come from a range of backgrounds and abilities, but share a common goal – to get active, support each other, and build a positive, welcoming community through sport.

Gaelic 4 Mothers & Others is about more than just football. It gives women the opportunity to improve their physical and mental wellbeing, build confidence, and form friendships in a fun, non-competitive environment. For many of us, it’s a chance to return to sport or try something new without pressure.

Our vision is to grow the group so that more women in the Tullylish area can take part, feel included, and benefit from being active and connected.

The money we raise will be used to fund essential kits and pitch hire and extend the G4MO programme. This will allow us to run regular sessions, keep costs low for participants, and remove barriers that might otherwise prevent women from joining. With this support, we can continue to grow, welcome new members, and ensure the group is sustainable for the future.

Why are we crowdfunding?

We are crowdfunding to raise essential funds that will enable us to deliver and expand this project at a meaningful scale. While we have developed a clear plan and strong foundations, additional financial support is needed to cover key costs such as equipment/resources

If you're applying for extra funding, this is a good place to demonstrate why your project is eligible so refer back to the criteria to help complete this section

As a volunteer within Tullylish, we want to grow our G4MO group by bringing more women from the local community into a fun, welcoming environment.

We’ll focus on women aged 25+ who may not currently be involved in sport, as well as past players who want to get active again. We’ll promote this through social media, word of mouth, and by linking it to our Colour Run and taster sessions to encourage new people to come along.

This will run over the next year, starting with recruitment around the Colour Run and then building into regular weekly sessions and ensuring the programme can be extended going forward.

While we already have a G4MO team, this project will help us grow it properly. The funding will allow us to bring in new members, provide proper equipment and jerseys, and create more opportunities for women to take part who otherwise wouldn’t.

How we’ll spend the money raised

We would like to buy our own kit and equipment as we have been borrowing all to date.

60 jerseys @ ~£50 each (custom design & branding) – £3,000

  • Supply of goal posts x 4  – £4,000
  • Installation & ground works – £500

  • Footballs / sliotars – £500
  • Cones, bibs, markers – £300
  • Agility equipment (ladders, hurdles) – £400
  • Strength & conditioning equipment – £600
  • Storage & maintenance (bags, racks) – £300
  • Replacement/extra equipment fund – £1400

Community impact

Tullylish Gaelic 4 Mothers & Others has a positive impact not just for our members, but for the wider community. By providing a welcoming and inclusive space for women to take part in sport, we help improve physical and mental wellbeing, reduce social isolation, and build confidence.

The group benefits women of all ages and abilities, including those who may not usually engage in sport. Many of our members are returning to activity after a long break, and the supportive, non-competitive environment makes it accessible to everyone.

Beyond the sessions themselves, the group strengthens community connections by bringing people together, creating friendships, and encouraging a sense of belonging. This has a ripple effect on families and the wider community, promoting healthier, more connected lifestyles.

Our activities also make use of local facilities, helping to keep community spaces active and valued. By growing our group, we aim to continue creating opportunities for women to get involved, support one another, and contribute positively to the wider Tullylish community.
