G-Hole is a raw, fragmented portrait of a night out that begins to unravel, following two young men drifting between memory and present.
G-Hole is a new work-in-progress play by NGY Productions, written by Nathan Gaël York and produced by NGY Productions.
The project began its life as a short piece of writing before being selected for a successful new writing night hosted by En Route Theatre at The Golden Goose in January 2026. Following the response to that performance, the piece is now being developed further for a work-in-progress sharing at the Hope Theatre in London this July.
At its heart, G-Hole explores masculinity, intimacy, loneliness, shame, class and queerness. It looks at the complicated and often messy ways people attempt to connect with one another while struggling with identity, vulnerability and the fear of not being truly seen.
As a writer and director, I am passionate about creating work that feels raw, honest and human. NGY Productions was founded to champion bold new writing and emerging voices, creating space for stories that challenge, provoke and connect with audiences in meaningful ways.
This work-in-progress will be built collaboratively alongside a team of actors and creatives, allowing the piece to evolve through rehearsal, discussion, experimentation and performance. Like many independent theatre projects in the UK, we are creating this work with limited resources but with a huge amount of passion and belief in the story we are telling.
We are raising £3000 to support the next stage of development for G-Hole.
The money raised will go directly towards:
Every donation, no matter the size, helps us continue developing new independent theatre and supporting the artists involved in making it happen.
If you are unable to donate, sharing the campaign with others would also mean an enormous amount to us.
Thank you for supporting G-Hole and NGY Productions.
