Aim

To deliver vital goods to UK communities in dire financial need at no cost to them and save their own money for essential food and heating.

Imagine a December night with intolerable cold, rain and heavy winds, and you are standing, shivering at a bus stop with inadequate clothing- no gloves, no coat, and no boots. The last time you had a proper meal was a few days ago because you’re struggling to pay your monthly rent. It doesn’t seem like an ideal situation, does it?  

The Challenge:

As we try to survive through the cold, there are millions of people who cannot make ends meet. Rising inflation and the energy crisis have caused a cost-of-living emergency, increasing poverty and homelessness. Financial stress brings more mental health challenges, having to manage ever diminishing budgets, as people have to make impossible choices between food, warmth and other essential items.   

How you can help: 

Don’t close your eyes. This winter, Goods for Good is raising funds for those who require basic necessities to get through every day. Every £1 donated will help us deliver £50 worth of new or nearly new goods. It will help to provide babies with nappies, women with hygiene products, and people with warm coats and clothes, but more importantly, we will provide them with human kindness, knowing that someone cares.  

By committing to our campaign, you are not only gifting human kindness to people, you’re also saving the environment. Goods for Good collects surplus stocks from companies such as Uniqlo, Nike, NEXT, DUNE etc. and distributes these to communities in need. Instead of being dumped in a landfill, these items help people survive.

About Goods for Good: 

Goods for Good is a growing and award winning UK registered charity that delivers overstocked goods donated by British industry, and mobilises local communities to donate second-hand, pre-loved goods, and delivers these goods to vulnerable people and communities in the UK and around the world. All over the UK we are now working with 104 charity partners who are tackling deep poverty and homelessness, working with refugees and asylum seekers and all the most vulnerable communities. In its first 8 years, the charity has delivered over £39 million-worth of humanitarian aid to those in desperate need. To date we have delivered to 25 countries across 4 continents, including Moldova, Ukraine, Romania, the Middle East and Nigeria supporting over 3.9 million people, globally. Working with 165 UK companies, including NIKE, IKEA, NEXT, UNIQLO PUMA, Regatta, The Dune Group, Harrods, Stormtech, Comfy Quilts and Silentnight. These companies donate overstocks, and we prevent them going to landfill. To date we have saved over 1,200 tonnes of goods from landfill or incineration.
