Disabled nonbinary person trying to better their life by getting a hysterectomy to help with the pain.

by Bee Mota in Preston, England, United Kingdom

Edit: I've now put the project on an always on with hopes of getting a little further in the £5k goal

I hate to do this because I'm used to having to work for everything I earn but because of the main issue that isn't a possibility.

I'm an afab disabled person, been having these issues since my cycle first started at 13 and not once have I been taken seriously by doctors. My body has been slowly getting worse because of the pain I suffer constantly from abdominal cramps from my uterus and ovaries which riddle me bedbound for days if not weeks. Writing all this from my bed as we speak because I'm in pain and most pain meds don't touch it.

I get bad reactions with opioids so I avoid them but with most other meds my body has grown used to them and they don't help much at all.

I had a diagnostic laparoscopy in 2021 where the gynae found nothing and therefore decided to completely rule out all gynae issues which my doctors have followed like gospel. As far as they're concerned there's no way I can tell exactly where my pain is coming from despite me living with it every day of my life so I've decided to go private seeing as the public NHS service continues to fail me.

Any help is really appreciated. There's not much I can do aside save the disability benefit I get after paying my half of the rent as I am living with my roommate in council housing.

Thank you for taking the moment to read.
