Funds for Damian’s Treatment

Please help extend Damian’s life or cure him by funding treatment not covered by the NHS

( Due to overwhelming support in the last 24 hours, it’s been breathtaking - we have decided to stretch the target. The original figure wouldn’t have covered the treatment alone. We hope to exceed even this to give Damian more options - words can’t express our gratitude 🙏🏼)

This is an appeal on behalf of our friend and colleague, Damian Cottle, in hope of raising urgently needed funds to cover medical treatment and expenses associated with his care.

From his schoolboy days in Cowbridge, South Wales, to his most recent achievement as a Training Captain at British Airways, Damian has inspired others with his determination, professionalism and unshakeable positivity.  His cheeky attitude and quick humour has won countless friends along the way.

Devastatingly life has dealt Damian and his wife Lottie, an unimaginable blow. Just as they were celebrating the joyful news that they are expecting their first baby together, Damian was diagnosed with an inoperable grade 4 glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer.

Whilst standard NHS treatment offers some benefits, there are promising new therapies which are not yet available via the NHS.  These could extend his life significantly and potentially offer hope of a cure.

These treatments are very expensive which is why we’ve set up this page and have an ambitious fundraising target.  In short we want to remove the financial barrier which could deny our friend, colleague and soon-to-be new father, access to ground breaking treatment.

We hate to ask, but please would you consider contributing any amount, no matter how small, to help fulfil our goal of ensuring Damian receives the treatment he needs and a chance to beat this dreadful disease.
