Aim

M1ECC Antennas, known for the Slidewinder DX, is raising funds for a new workshop after having to leave their current location.

Current Funding Strategy

Owner David Wright (M1ECC) has outlined a "sales-led" recovery plan to secure a new location:

  • Inventory Reinvestment: The primary method for raising capital is by selling existing stock and reinvesting "heavily from sales" to afford the rent on a new workshop.
  • Limited Production: To maintain cash flow without full workshop facilities, the business is focusing on products that do not require heavy machinery or lathes, such as coils, wire antennas, baluns, ununs, and line isolators.
  • The business was required to move out by the end of April 2026
  • Financial Constraints: Recent low sales volumes initially made the rent for a new workshop unaffordable, leading to a temporary announcement of closure in late March 2026.
  • Recovery Status: Recent updates indicate "positive developments" that allow for limited-capacity operations until enough funds are raised to secure a permanent new home.
  • How to Support

The most direct way to contribute to the new workshop fund is by purchasing available products directly from the M1ECC Antennas website.

  • Or by supporting this crowd fund with a small donation, To help secure a new workshop, Which will then allow full production of our product range & the ability to release new antenna products, going forwards.

  • Money raised will be spent on the workshop rent & any fixtures & fitting required, To be fully operational.
