We need your help to transform lives by funding a place for a refugee on our renowned Practical Sustainability Course.
Negative stereotypes and broken systems in the UK mean that 75% of refugees and migrants have no opportunities beyond low-paid, entry-level employment. This venture aims to redefine, recentre and rebuild this process to end the cycle of poverty.
The money raised would pay for a refugee or migrant graduate of ACH's 'Green Skills & Employment' course, to further their eductaion on Shift Bristol's year-long 'Practical Sustainability Course'. As we believe the networking opportunities, skills and education offered on the PSC should be available to all, empowering a diverse range of people to lead self-sufficient and ambitious lives.
Access to mentoring, training and a supportive pathway of education creates spaces and opportunities for people to thrive. Helping to build a collaborative, brighter and more sustainable future.

The Practical Sustainability Course offers an immersive, hands-on, year long dynamic learning experience.
Covering a wide variety of engaging modules, such as; permaculture design, soil and ecology regeneration, growing organically, green energy systems, managing woodlands, green building and construction, relocalising our food systems and economies, working collaboratively, engaging communities and the psychology of creating change.
With 650+ hours of in-person participatory lectures, practical application, field trips, design projects, discussions and group work, the curriculum is taught by a network of expert and pioneering tutors.

Your donation will be used to give a refugee or migrant an opportunity to not only rebuild their lives, but also to make a positive contribution to creating a sustainable future in their new community.
Please share this appeal with anyone you think might be willing to help. Thankyou.
