FuelEXTRA is for employees’ health and well-being and with the mission to honour under-represented sports and fitness coaches.

FuelEXTRA 

originates from the care of SME (Small-and-Medium-sized Enterprise) employees’ health and well-being and with the mission to honour professionally trained but under-resourced and under-represented sports and fitness coaches in the UK.

We focus on people, beyond a programme, an apps nor gym passes, 

SMEs CAN do a little EXTRA to retain your Employees to drive results.

FuelEXTRA understands SMEs’ hectic working environment and the limited resources for employees’ health and well-being, as well as team morale and loyalty that the big corporates have to retain talents.  So please leave this task with us. 

Being the bridge of the SMEs and under-resourced sports and fitness instructors in the Greater London area, FuelEXTRA are to provide affordable and relevant sports and wellness activities to business owners, department heads or team leaders of SMEs or corporates who are seeking for knitting your teams with sweat and fun, and helping the no-collar sectors in need.   

Our professionally qualified sports and fitness coaches are to take the opportunity to help you unite your team with endorphin and good causes at the same time.  Your contribution also helps our coaches to blend into the office worker employee engagement space to impact a bigger audience with their passion and professionalism.

How does it work for SMEs

Enroll yourself and/ or your team to one of our specially designed crowdfunder reward tier to kick start the SME staff retention journey to experience the improved team well-being, cohesion and morale!

For individuals, you are also encouraged to support our coaches to transform their lives. Hear their stories, experience their passion and coaching by enrolling in our crowdfunding programme’s online or in-person sessions. 

How to use the money

80% of the contribution will be used on the under-represented sports and fitness coaches on:

• team building skills enhancement x 8 session and a graduation project
• personal branding: be a presentable and credible coach
• income of coaches: kick start sustainable income source

20% of the contribution will be used on:

• programme development and coordination
• SME community development, engagement and advocacy 
• fitness and sports instructor recruitment

#The above estimation is based on 100% crowdfunding target achieved in this crowdfunding project. Percentage may vary if the contribution is over or under-achieved.

About the founder: Candice Ma

Candice Ma is a passionate outdoor activist who has always been fascinated by the power of sports to bring people together and make a positive impact on society across different ethnic groups.

Driven by her passion for sports and her empathy for professional athletes who live on sports with unsustainable income, Candice co-founded MIRARunners (www.mirarunners.org) in 2017, a community project dedicated to connecting and nurturing sports lovers and underprivileged running coach for social good causes. Through MIRARunners, Candice has organized charity runs, sports clinics, and other events that promote physical health, social awareness, and community engagement benefited more than 200 local Kenyan marathon runners with resources channelled from Asia.

In addition to her work with MIRARunners, Candice is also a marketing leader in the information technology industry. Through her experiences in I.T. and sports industry, Candice has gained a unique perspective on the ways in which sports can shape individuals, communities, and even corporations. Her expertise in marketing has helped her to further her mission of empowering the coaches who are under-resourced and lack of opportunity to seize their talents in physical activities, and she has been instrumental in launching multi-national successful marketing campaigns that have maximised top-tier sports brands' resources to raise awareness of the public to the under-represented sportspersons and enhanced their financial capabilities, as well as connecting these brands with social good causes.

Candice is a MBA graduate of the University of Strathclyde and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, where she studied business and communications. Her dedication to promoting sports and social responsibility has earned her recognition as a thought leader in this area, and her blog posts on hk.runningbiji.co have been widely read and shared.  She also serves as mentors for various UK charitable projects supporting next generation of the ethnic minorities.
