I’m Lucy. And I'm the founder of From Our Cellar. We're looking to raise £3,500 to grow the business through expanding our wholesale offering and visiting three wedding fairs by Spring 2022.

What is From Our Cellar?

In short. We are an online marketplace and wholesaler where you can discover some of the world's best drink producers and some yummy nibbles to go alongside. We’ve done the research, so you don’t have to.

Having been a long-time supporter of independent businesses and with a family background in the hospitality industry, From Our Cellar started as an idea during the Covid-19 pandemic to help people enjoy and discover products from independent producers and restaurants from the comfort of their own home  – whilst learning a little something along the way.

We are now trying to grow From Our Cellar to help support more independent producers and reach more customers - and that's why we need your help.

We are SUPER passionate about:

Helping you discover

We launched our "Cellar Club" in September which is a monthly subscription box hand-picked by us. We put together a selection of drinks and nibbles which is delivered to you each month, and served alongside a virtual tasting and Q&A session with the producers. Each box is completely unique, and carefully chosen by us to complement each other, and to show-case all the amazing and delicious products that we have at our fingertips.

Educating you

Our experts are always on hand to offer you recommendations or provide you with a full tasting. We offer free walk-in tastings as well as ticketed tastings where we have teamed up with local businesses to share our knowledge and our favourite tipples with you.

We also offer private or corporate tastings in-person or virtually so you can have an evening completely curated to your needs. Whether it's a special get together between friends or a corporate Christmas party - we've got you covered. Plus we've teamed up with some fantastic small businesses to provide yummy food pairings, from cheese and charcuterie, to home-made tiramisu.

And if you're trying to source some crowd-pleasing booze for your next big party, such as a wedding, then our experts will work with you to find the most suitable wines, beers, and spirits for your event and get them for you at great prices.

Promoting small businesses

Since launching we have over 40 different producers with our amazing list growing everyday.

Meet Hugo from Nuisance. Nuisance was born in the depth of the Cotswolds whilst Hugo and his mother spent their summers picking stinging nettles to create delicious and refreshing cordials. Several years on, Hugo launched Nuisance to champion and celebrate the wild and unloved ingredients on our doorsteps by creating delicious and unusual soda mixers.

With strong personal ties to the wine industry through Gordon’s Wine Bar (owned by my grandmother and run by my father), I, Lucy, wanted to pull together a team as passionate as I am about all things food and drink related. My first port of call was an old school friend, Alix, who holds her WSET Diploma in Wine, is an Italian Wine Scholar, and a French Wine Scholar (gulp!), and as an ex-restaurateur she also brings years of experience with her. I stumbled across our beer expert, Lidia, at a beer festival (what are the chances!). She is a Certified Cicerone and has been working in the brewing industry for the best part of 10 years. To keep up with these two, I'm studying my WSET in Spirits.

Why are we crowdfunding?

So far we have invested a fair amount of time, love and money into getting our online shop running, and getting lots of fantastic producers on board, but now we need a little help to take the next step.

In 2022, we’ve got lots of exciting ideas in the pipeline for From Our Cellar, and so there are many, many things we need to spend money on over the coming months. Stands at wedding fairs is one of the biggest investments for our brand new business. We will need £3,500 to buy: the pitch fees at the fairs (see FAQ's below to see where!), branded banners, branded packaging, stock, signage and more - all these bits and bobs are to showcase our business, get more brands on board so we can offer better deals to our customers.

In exchange for your pledges, we're offering some unbelievable rewards from exclusive wine tastings to Christmas stocking fillers. And of course, every reward that needs to be posted will be delivered to your doorstep in time for Christmas.

As we grow our archive of tasting notes and membership perks, we'll also be giving anyone who donates during this campaign free Tasting Note Membership for the whole of 2022.

A. Yes, all rewards will be shipped before Christmas. Let us know if you need your reward sooner.

Q. Can I order for someone else?

Absolutely! Just make sure you put their details in the delivery details section when you pledge.

Q. Can I pledge anonymously?

A. Yes, you can opt to hide your name from other supporters list by ticking the relevant box when you make your pledge. Don't worry, we will still be able to see your details. If you are pre-ordering a reward as a gift, this is a great option. 

Q. Can I pledge on more than one reward?

A. Yes, you can choose as many rewards as you like. You will need to make a new separate pledge for each reward. If you get stuck, you can message [email protected] for help. 

Q. Is delivery included?

A. Yes. All pledges include postage & packaging costs. Please note that shipping is within the UK only.

Q. Where are the private tastings held?

A. It's totally up to you! We can come to your house or office, or we can arrange a venue with you. Please note that any private events held outside of our usual areas may incur additional charges for our expert to travel to you.

Q. Where are your tastings held?

A. At the moment we hold tastings in various locations around Central London. We also offer virtual tastings as well.

Q. How often do you hold tastings?

A. At the moment we have monthly tastings in various venues. During 2022 we hope to grow this to give you more choice about where to taste, so keep an eye on our events page and make sure you subscribe to our newsletter.

A. Raising £3,500 will help us go to the Wembley (20th Feb), Lambeth (13th March) and Mercedes Benz in Weybridge (20th March) wedding fairs during 2022.
