We want to deliver free, online financial wellbeing webinars, to support the community to be able to manage their own finances and wellbeing
With the cost of living crisis hitting our community it has already started to increase the amount of stress and pressure we are under, which in turn is going to negatively effect the wellbeing and mental health of our community. Over two-thirds of adults are concerned about the cost of living crisis and the effect this is going to have on them, 50% have reported that their mental state has been negatively effected as a result, and with the cost of living crisis predicted to get worse within the next few months the community need support.
What do we want to do?
In order to support the community through this time and to help them to manage their wellbeing we would like to deliver free online financial wellbeing webinars. The workshops will embed practical skills to help make your money go further, include stress and emotion management techniques which can be applied by all in every day life and embed simple and accessible tips that all can use.
Our free online webinars will cover the following topics:
We plan to deliver eight series of four-week workshops, within two different time slots one in the afternoon (1-2pm) and one in the evening (7-8pm) to make them accessible for all different members of the community.
Feedback from our community indicated they believe these workshop topics will support them during this difficult time. Being able to manage our wellbeing when we can’t control the outcome of a situation is key and we want to equip the community with the skills to be able to do this.
Why us?
We have experience of delivering online workshops and have already worked with over 250 members of the community. So far 97% of over 250 people who have attended our workshops have stated it helped to improve their wellbeing and 100% have stated that want to attend more workshops. We want to continue this work and offer free financial wellbeing workshops in a time where inflation and cost-of-living is ripping through our community.
Who are the workshops for?
The workshops are completely free and open to all, whether you have a family, live alone, are a student, retired or even an Aviva Employee! All the workshops will be delivered within a way where you can apply the information to your circumstances. We know these workshops are needed as members of our community have already started to talk to us about the impact the financial situation is currently having on their mental health and we want to be there to support them through this time.
How will the money we raise be used?
The money we raise will be used to cover the costs of running the webinars and also cover staff CPD, which will add longevity to our project and improve the services we offer the community. For every £750 we raise we will be able to deliver one four-week webinar block. Any extra money we raise will also be donated back to the community via food vouchers which will be used as an incentive for those who attend our workshops.
