🌹 The Prize: Frank's Roses

The Labour Party scraped to victory here in North East Derbyshire after spectacularly failing to represent our community. The Tories were toast but the Labour candidate, shipped in from Leicestershire, refused to attend the local debates and instead transformed an enormous initial lead in local polls into a tight race 🏃🏼‍♀️

Frank, your Green Party candidate, had a job on his hands. The incumbent Tory was all smoke and mirrors, whilst the supposed opposition would not even turn up. Fortunately, Frank was able to hold them both to account, and used a bunch of red roses to bring some visibility to Labour's otherwise absent campaigning 🔍

Knowing that nobody wants petrol station flowers, Frank did exactly that and found a bouquet fit for the occasion. The same bunch of sad and limp fading red roses were then waved around at hustings in Tupton, Eckington and Staveley, as Frank called out Labour's failure to engage 🙊

Now, those flowers have been pressed and hand framed by Frank ready to be hung on your wall. This is a unique momento from the 2024 general election, and is the only piece of its kind 🖼️

Signed and dated by Frank, with the handwritten title 'Roses are red, democracy is dead', this truly is a limited edition piece. From as little as just £5, you could win this rare snapshot of British politics ✨

💚 The Cause: Our Community

Labour have not only failed to turn up to our debates, but they also failed to turn up for the most vulnerable in society. Too weak to tax the wealthiest in society, Keir Starmer's government is staunchly refusing to lift 250,000 children out of poverty overnight by lifting the two-child benefit cap. He has even expelled the 7 brave Labour MPs who dared to defy the whip and vote in favour of scrapping the cap 🚨

North East Derbyshire's new Labour MP, of course, followed orders from her boss rather than stand up for our community. It is beyond belief that Labour would support this policy which even Reform UK and Suella Braverman are now saying is not fit for purpose 🙄

Needless to say all 4 Green MPs voted in favour of the motion and whilst this was not enough to overturn Labour's supermajority, we can do something positive locally. Frank will continue to campaign for, as he did during the mayoral and general elections, an end to poverty. By donating today, you are not only supporting the campaigns of progressive local candidates who will demand better, but also supporting food banks in the constituency. That is right, Frank will donate 50% of all funds raised to the volunteer-powered organisations who are fighting poverty right here 🍅

Your support is needed now more than ever. Together, we can support our food banks and fuel a wave of Green wins which will send a strong message to Sir Keir Starmer and Louise Jones MP 🌹

Better is possible but only if we demand it 💪🏼

Thank you 💚
