Please help Frank Turner in saving The Venue (Derby) from permanent closure, Frank will play an online show in aid of our Crowdfunder.
The Venue faces closure because we are unable to generate enough income to cover costs during the lockdown periods. The majority of our income is raised by ticket and bar sales, both of which are non-existent due to both government lockdowns and the restrictions in place when we were able to open with the tier’ed system.
We weren’t eligible for the Cultural Recovery Fund Grant because we’re a sole trader and we got rejected from the English Grassroots Music Venue Grant from the Arts Council because they said it wasn’t for us - even though it was specifically for us. We are into 2021 and we’ve been open once since our last show, Saturday 7th March 2020 with The Lancashire Hotpots.
