Frank Turner is using this special live stream to help us raise the funds we need to pay our rent and survive another month. We currently have one of the highest rents of any grassroots music venue anywhere in the UK, surpassed only by the 100 Club.
We were underfunded £200k by Arts Council's Cultural Recovery Fund which left a huge hole that we're still struggling to fill as a completely independent business, we were one of only a handful of venues who were underfunded.
Our aim is to recover our financial stability and independence and continue to support grassroots artists, as we have done for 12 years, for many years to come.
Our 2021 calendar is packed full of incredible gigs that we were forced to cancel in 2020, taking in some of the most exciting breakthrough bands of the year so far with the likes of Pozi, Humanist, Egyptian Blue, Nuria Graham, Hey Colossus, Honey Harper, Dana Gavanski and Daniel Romano and more established artists like Nightingales and Humanist also coming up.
We're desperate to continue to do what we love, most of the team have spent their whole adult lives working in music and a very hefty portion of that at The Lexington.
