Aim

Francis is the founder of Slum Run Uganda, which supports children working in quarries. He needs support to qualify as a sports scientist.

As I continue on the journey of studying sports science and learning to become a better coach. Positive that the change I want to create in my community will transform the people for good.

During the lockdown in 2020 it was very hard to stay productive however I managed to engage in, training Crossfit with the children in the Chrysalis Athletics Club and this year I went back to training in the local gym as restrictions were eased.

Through the Crossfit training program I am noticing that there’s a greater chance of transforming everyone in my community and I am highly encouraged to keep putting in the work to see this come to pass.

Also the Urban Crossfit Gym with its main focus on training youth to believe in their potential and encouraging adults stay healthy and productive will create a more focused and resilient society in the mere future.

As a coach I have learned that sports teaches us that we don’t always get the outcome we want there and then.  Time has to be spent training harder and practicing resilience.

The Urban Crossfit Gym will be the perfect place for encouraging resilient values among youth and adults. It will also be an opportunity to share my education with the rest of the people in my community.

Therefore it’s very important for me to keep focused both on achieving my degree and taking the necessary steps to make the Urban Crossfit Gym one of the most outstanding training gyms.

This year I began my second year at Makerere University and we are about to do final semester exams.  Please feel free to support me to raise £325.
