Aim

Our 37-year-old floodlights have begun to fail. They are vital to our clubs ability to fulfill our fixtures and urgently need to be replaced

Who are Framlingham Town Football Club

Framlingham Town Football Club is a step 6, non-league football team, playing in the Eastern Counties Thurlow Nunn First Division North. We also have two other senior men's teams, an under-18's team, a veterans team and a Women's team. We also have a youth section with over 300 members. 

Why are we crowdfunding?

Non-league football, such as Framlingham Town FC, a cherished pillar of community involvement, is not immune to economic strains.

Although Framlingham Town FC has admirably weathered the financial storms that have affected us all, our 37 year old floodlights have begun to fail placing a strain on our ability to fulfill our fixtures. For all our teams, including our U18’s ,it is vital we have functioning, reliable floodlights to ensure we fulfill our fixtures. As a club, we are very proud that Suffolk FA regularly asks us to host semi-finals and finals for county cup matches. The lights are also used by other sections of the sports club.

The full project will cost around £75,000.00. The club can access the new Premier League LED floodlight fund which will provide around £50,000 of the cost associated through the football foundation programme. This leaves the club needing to find £25,000 for this project. 

Whilst the club’s committee has worked hard to raise funds through fundraising events, we still find ourselves financially short and, therefore unable to progress the process of getting new lights installed. Given these circumstances, the idea of crowdfunding emerges as a crucial means of support for Framlingham Town FC.  

How we’ll spend the money raised

100% of the money donated will go towards the new floodlights.
