To fund a fun filled community gala week in Forfar, a week when everyone can come together to enjoy the best that Forfar has to offer.

Who are we?
Forfar Action Network (FAN), a new group working together with local clubs, organisations, businesses and individuals to bring together and celebrate our local community by putting on events and improving our town.
Our first event is Forfar Gala Week and our aim is to put the WEEK back into GALA WEEK
For this we need your help ....
Forfar Gala Week will run from Sunday 18th June to Sunday 25th June 2017.
Over the week we have lots of activities and events planned kicking off with a family cycle run for all ages and abilities.
The main gala day event will be on Sunday 25th June starting with a FANtastic procession leaving Montrose Road Centre at 12.30 going through the town centre and finishing at The Myre. The gala day will be filled with games , live music, bouncy castle, displays from local groups, dog show, refreshments and stalls including a craft tent.
There will be something for everyone but we need a bit of help to make this a FANtastic event .
What's going on during Gala Week?
- Fun for all "spot the mistake" competition in the local shop windows
- Afternoon tea dance at West End Social Club
- Historical witch walk
- Puppet shows and drama workshops
- And lots more.......
And don't forget to try the different Gala Week sausages on offer at Robert Watt Butchers -trialling different flavours each week for the public to judge - the one with the best review will be made the official Gala Week sausage.
