Forever Savvy provide vocational training courses for adults with learning disabilities with the aim of helping them find employment
Forever Savvy develops and delivers vocational training, education, and support for adults with learning disabilities (our trainees). Our aim is to make life more meaningful for people with learning disabilities.
We provide e
ducation in positive-risk environments. These positive-risk environments are atmospheres where our trainees can have the opportunity to learn and develop new life and work skills in authentic environment to achieve a healthy emotional and physical balance in their lives. Forever Savvy currently has 4 centres: horse savvy where trainees work with animals (including horses, chickens, rabbits, and cats) as well as the land; creative savvy where trainees work on woodworking and rural crafting projects, developing the land, and growing vegetables; café savvy where trainees can work both front of house and in the kitchen at a tea and coffee shop based with in a community centre; and work savvy where trainees are supported to find work in the community and are supported in their role.
The money we raise from this generous project will be put towards running costs after recent shortfalls due to the aftereffects of COVID-19 and allow us to keep providing high quality training and job opportunities to adults with learning disabilities.
