Forest Hill Library is a community run in South East London. We are solely reliant on generating our own income to maintain and run the library building and services. Lewisham Council will continue to provide books and the lending software, but we have to provide and maintain the structure of the building, shelves, IT, cleaning, heating and lighting, non-book-borrowing services and all staffing. We have to pay licences, taxes, legal expenses, insurance.. the list is almost endless!
We have a fantastic community spirit in Forest Hill, and hope to raise extra funds from local residents and businesses who know how important a well run library is for the community.
Please help support the library, thank you in advance.

Some more details:
Poppy Drayton's Autograph
Poppy spends most of her time in Hollywood, but she hasn't forgotten her roots. The former Sugar Mountain employee was quick to offer her support for her former local library, and with her starring role in the upcoming Little Mermaid, her stock is set to go even higher. Even if you havent seen The Shannara Chronicles, the chances are you'll know a teenager who has, and if you have Netflix then you'll have doubtless seen the adverts for it, and after appearances in top British shows like Downton Abbey and Midsomer Murders, it was The Shannara Chronicles that were Poppy's big break. A Little Mermaid will be out early in 2018 and stars Poppy in the title role, supported by a cast including the great Shirly Maclaine and Loreto Peralta. Poppy has offered 20 signed photos and the price includes postage to anywhere in the UK, will postage to other countires available upon request.
The Christmas Party
On December the 10th we will be having a party at the library and Louise House, a smart causal affair, with live music, a stand-up buffet (including vegetarian option) and an auction of some great items – autographed books, sports equipment, meals out, works of art and much more, hosted by toastmaster James Hasler. Your ticket price includes entry, food and a glass of champagne on arrival. There will also be a bar serving beers and wines, and a specialist gin bar with cocktails and some great gin and tonics. Over 18s only, from 7pm until late.
