FordHaven - Supporting Our Local Community

Aim

FordHaven are transforming Glastonbury Scout Hall into a vibrant community hub. Help us raise £9000 to create a warm & vibrant space.

In the spirit of community collaboration, FordHaven CIC (14440228) is really excited to announce our partnership with the local Scout group  and will be improving the facilities at the 4th Glastonbury Scout Hall (Reg. Charity Number 274111). 

This initiative goes beyond just renovations; we want to create a fabulous space that will be a cornerstone for community activities and youth development.

The current state of the Scout Hall, especially its lack of a functional heating system, has given significant challenges to its use throughout the year. Our primary mission is to install a new heating system and carry out essential renovations, transforming the hall into a more welcoming environment for everyone. 

The Scout hall then will not only benefit the Scouts, Cubs, and Beavers, but it will also have the ability to become a lively hub for community gatherings, and bringing this back to the community space it has previously been.

FordHaven in collaboration with the Scouts, will be instrumental in bringing our community together and supporting our shared vision.

We invite you to be a part of this exciting journey, to support this community project, whether through donations or participation in our events.  This will significantly contribute to the success of this project. 

FordHaven will be leading the fundraising efforts to achieve our goal of raising £9000 for these crucial improvements. This includes £8000 for a new heating system, £300 for decorating materials and £700 for installation of a new hob and oven. 

Beyond this we are committed to organising a series of community-focused events, including tabletop sales, coffee mornings, and quiz nights, which will serve as both social gatherings and fundraising opportunities for FordHaven CIC to ensure we can meet our aims to support children across the county.  You can find out more about FordHaven and our objectives at www.fordhaven.org. 

Any additional monies raised through this crowdfunder will go towards the continuing work that FordHaven provides for young people across Somerset.
