A grumpy old lady sets out into the woods each morning to spy on unsuspecting strangers. But why, what diabolical plan is about to unfold?
A crotchety old woman says goodbye to her husband and heads out one morning to go bird-watching. Dressed from head to toe in camouflage, she travels to a nearby woodland in search of birds to stalk. Trampling through the shrubs and bushes, she searches for the perfect spot to set up her hide. After days of searching and quiet deliberation, she meets her wildly specific criteria and sets up camp. It’s not long before she finds the targets she came to stalk, and it seems birds have nothing to do with it…
"Forbidden Love on the Shores of Greece (FLOTSOG) is going to be a bricolage of emotions. Its story is suspenseful and will keep its audiences guessing, yet it has soft vignettes of comedy and a sweet sensibility drizzled throughout. I can’t wait to get started and begin working with the extremely talented group of actors we have assembled. This film is to be the 2nd project I have made with my producer Ly-Ann Foster and will be my most personal. My first short ‘Organs of Business’ was very much a homage to British comedy, meaning I was limited with the amount of my own personality I could infuse with it; as I had defined guidelines in which I was trying to adhere to. This is not the case with this upcoming film. FLOTSOG is completely my own creation and I intend to douse it with my individual visual motifs and create something truly unique in its story and style." - Joshua Bransgrove | Director

This film is going to take its visual influence from the masterful filmmakers of the French New Wave era, both in colour and style. We intend to be creative with our camera work and implement techniques introduced from the New Wave masters, while maintaining our own visual signature. The Director intends to use his camera in the same manner a writer uses their pen. Joshua’s work has always been influenced by the camera work of the great film auteurs. Such as Kubrick’s masterful creativity, P.T.Anderson's overwhelming beauty and the Coen Brothers blurring of traditional film reality. All of which will find its place in this up-coming project.
We have successfully obtained the majority of our funds from investors, however we are still short of our funding target so have made the decision to crowdfund the remainder of the necessary budget.
With your generous contributions you will help us to pay for additional crew members and their expenses, the hiring of professional equipment as well as for our score and soundtrack. All of this would result in a higher production value that would help us to create the vision we have for this film.

Please help us make this film a reality by supporting our project. We appreciate any and all donations no matter the size. For those donating over a certain amount of money we are offering some small rewards to say a special thank you so please check those out.
And if you’d like to support us in other ways, please share this crowdfunder with your family and friends and anyone else you think would enjoy this short film and also follow us over on our instagram.
