Aim

To help fund story-telling and arts and music that for fun and engaging Early Years and family learning in Hadfield.

For the Love of Books is coming to Hadfield!

BUT WE NEED YOU!

Here at High Peak Community Arts, we have over 38 years of experience of delivering high quality creative  opportunities to people of all ages and abilities. Particularly to those  who do not usually have access to them.

Our 'For the Love of Books' pilot was delivered in Early Years settings across the High Peak and it clearly demonstrated how the positive power of the arts can inspire and uplift. Research tells us that developing creativity early builds confidence and resilience for children so we've decided to do it again!

Young children and their parents are first read a story and then they take part in a set of activities designed and lead by creative experts. This is a really good opportunity for parents to get involved in being creative with their children and to make literacy fun. It can be a great bonding experience as well.

We will be running weekly sessions at an Early Years setting in Hadfield with story-telling and creative activities based around five different books, lead by creative experts.

It's also a great opportunity parents to get involved in being creative with their child and is a great bonding experience.

FUNDING

Your donations will be going towards resources for the activities and fees for professional artists to come and work with the groups.  We have a grant from the Ragdoll Foundation, but they won't give us the next payment until we have raised match funding locally.  The Derbyshire County Council Community Priorities fund have got us started - but we need another £500 to get there!

We have a selection of rewards which you can choose from and for any donation over £5 we will add your name to our online Wall of Fame.

If you have any specific questions then you can contact us via our E-mail or phone number. For more information about the HPCA you can go to our website at www.highpeakarts.org

Thankyou!
