Aim

🌟Help us look after the hearts of Fairfield🌟  We want to raise funds to install a defibrillator outside the Fairfield Arms.

Defibrillators (AEDs) are life-saving devices that deliver an electric shock to restart the heart during cardiac arrest, with survival chances increasing from 6% to 74% if used within 3-5 minutes.

Anyone can use them without training as they provide voice instructions.  Over 30,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur annually in the UK.

If we reach our target, the plan is to install the defibrillator on the outside of the Fairfield Arms.  This is within 3-5 minutes of almost 1000 households in our neighbourhood.

The defibrillator costs apx £800, cabinet and fittings £400, replacement battery £400, and contact pads £200.  £2000 would include running costs for about 4 years.

The pub have generously agreed to pay the electricity for the first year.
