To raise money for Fans Supporting Foodbanks to ensure that vulnerable families in Merseyside do not go hungry during the Coronavirus crisis

by Rainbow Man in Liverpool, England, United Kingdom

We're still collecting donations

On the 26th April 2020 we'd raised £1,500 with 68 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

 New stretch target

Amazingly the first £1,000 raised by this appeal will now be doubled by the Steve Morgan Foundation and if we can make it to £2,000 the Foundation will make it £4,000. With your help and their backing we will be able to help even more vulnerable families and support them through the Coronavirus crisis.

With the Coronavirus turning the country upside down, taking away people's livelihoods and threatening the health of the most vulnerable the importance of foodbanks for struggling families has never been greater. Fans Supporting Foodbanks (FOAR) is a joint initiative in the battle against hunger by Liverpool and Everton football fans. Let's help them to keep the poorest members of our community fed during this crisis and fight back against this virus. By supporting this appeal you will ensure children who are reliant on school lunches for their main meal of the day do not go hungry while the schools are closed, those isolating from the Coronavirus at home can still get access to basic food supplies and families that have seen their household income cut because of the lockdown do not struggle to put food on the table in the coming months. By donating, downloading and displaying 8 year old Reimi's special Merseyside rainbow in your window you will also be demonstrating your support for our magnificent NHS workers at this time of crisis and spreading the message of hope within our community.

We ask project owners to honour their rewards wherever possible but please note that all pledges are donations and there is no guarantee that you will receive any rewards from the project owner. Please see Crowdfunder's Terms of Use for more information regarding rewards for pledges.

Reimi's Rainbow

The rainbow has become a symbol of hope and support for the NHS during the Corona crisis. So, I have teamed up with my great niece, Reimi aged 8, to produce a special rainbow which is made up of the Everton and Liverpool team colours. If you donate at least £5 to this crowdfunding appeal not only will you be supporting foodbanks in Merseyside but you will also be able to download a PDF version of Reimi's Rainbow of hope to put in your window.
