Support us in creating a genre-bending heist movie that speaks to anyone who has ever wanted to prove themselves - whatever the stakes.

We are a group of young creatives keen to get back to just that - creating! Join us, members of the National Youth Film Academy, as we produce this short heist film:
When two apprentice criminals are tasked to retrieve incriminating evidence against their head honcho boss, they employ their university friends to help execute two masterful plans. Their mission is to not only gather the briefcase full of evidence, but to also prove that they are the smartest, most cunning, and loyal assistant.
On the brink of success, they discover their heist may not have been as foolproof as they had planned.

Being a group of young creatives during this pandemic has made work hard to find, and we are sure this sentiment is one a lot of people can relate to as well.
Foolsproof follows the two apprentice criminals and their teams as they go head to head to devise the best heist in order to become the next right hand person to criminal boss, Dot. Eager to prove themselves for that promotion, our film speaks to the competitiveness of the current job climate, while also offering both us as the filmmakers, and you as our viewer, an escape from it all!
Our team are determined to see off a pretty tough year with this fun, genre-bending film that everyone can enjoy. We want to steal back the time that the last year has taken away from us as young filmmakers, with a film that challenges the stereotypes around a traditional heist.

Our goal is to raise £5000. Help our team reach this target so we can fund everything we will need to bring this film to life:

Our comedic approach to this film means that we don't hide from the fact that this is a short film with a tight budget. We've taken some creative liberties and turned these challenges into advantages!
For example - you are probably wondering how our cast, a bunch of 18-25 year olds, can make convincing criminals? Well our solution to this is actually also our USP! The fact that our criminals are apprentices employing their university friends fits the age range of our actors, making the cast believable for their roles in the film, and allowing you to sit back and sink into our world.
What about locations? Well, take a look at our inspiration and venues we are currently in talks with..
