Aim
To safely get food to community organisations and onward to the people of Glasgow in this time of crisis.
As the scale and impact of coronavirus unfolds, Glasgow's communities are faced with an unprecedented need for good, nutritious food.
Our coalition of food professionals, social enterprises and organisations are involved in the sourcing, cooking, storing and distribution of good food.
The situation is changing very quickly and, as the schools close, groups that would normally be able to sustain themselves will find a need for good food, free of charge.
We are already heavily involved in this process and have secured discounted foods and community spaces that have closed during the crisis. We also have a network of over 50 chefs and volunteers preparing to cook and deliver.
Your money will help us buy vital cleaning supplies, source ingredients and to support those giving their time to cook and distribute the food to those who need it.

Our Mission
- Providing a buffer for existing public & community food organisations working on the front-line by safely preparing, storing and distributing meals that can be accessed in times of urgency;
- Serving those in need that may fall through the gaps of existing services due to the sudden increase in demand - ensuring they are supported in a dignified manner;
- Providing a destination and distribution hub for surplus food that would otherwise be wasted;
- Providing direction and resource to the creative & compassionate food workers whose talents would otherwise go wasted
- Signposting organisations and individuals to appropriate services and information to ensure a safe, effective and cohesive response to the situation at hand.
Even in times of global challenge, we maintain that no one should fall through the cracks. Good Food should be available to all. Though it is paramount that we all take the NHS recommended precautions; no one should feel isolated from nourishment.
