Always on

This project successfully funded on 11th March 2024, you can still support them with a donation.

Aim: We need your help to provide culturally appropriate, essential food for destitute refugees and asylum seekers in Brighton and Hove.

Voices in Exile supports asylum seekers and refugees across Brighton & Hove and beyond, providing long term help if needed while we work to resolve the causes of destitution through our casework and advice team.

Our food bank is a highly championed and valued service and we rely heavily on the backing of our local community.

On a weekly basis, we support between 85 and 100 people. Many households are families with children who receive very little financial assistance. We can only provide this important service thanks to the hard work of our dedicated staff and volunteers, and with crucial support from donors.

However, the ongoing cost of living crisis means that food donations are falling as demand is increasing. We will therefore allocate all the funds raised through this project to supporting our food bank throughout the year.
