Foal Farm has been rescuing and rehoming neglected animals in and around Kent for more than 60 years.
Our mission is to take in as many animals as we can properly care for, to restore them to health and happiness and where possible find them new homes, or provide a sanctuary for life.
Every year we rehome approximately 500 cats, dogs and small animals, and provide permanent sanctuary to more than 100 farm animals. We never put an animal to sleep if it has a chance of survival, and go to every length to provide first class care to every animal in need.
Over the last two years there has been a huge increase in the number of pets being surrendered to rescue centres.
Not only are people giving up their pets, there has been an alarming rise in the number of animals abandoned, being left to fend for themselves. We can't imagine how desperate somebody must be to leave their pet tied to a gate, left by the side of a road or dumped in a pet carrier in a car park, however, that has been the fate of many animals in the last year.
The increased cost of living has no doubt contributed to these situations. Our costs have increased too, which is why four dedicated members of our dog team are doing a skydive in the hope it will raise much needed funds to contribute towards the vet bills and costs of caring for the animals we take in.
Andreas, Gemma, Hayley and Lisa are taking on this challenge, so please sponsor them if you can so they can reach their target of £12,000, which is our average monthly vet bill.
The skydive will take place on Saturday 28th September at Headcorn Airfield.
