Welcome to Fly Me Stories; special stories for special children
Fly Me Stories creates free magical adventures for children who are unwell in hospital. Each special personalised story includes the child's name and takes them on an exciting adventure, away from their hospital bed.
HELP US TO SEND FREE PERSONALISED STORIES TO CHILDREN WHO ARE UNWELL IN HOSPITAL.
How it works
The parent/ carer of the child in hospital sends the child's name to Fly Me Stories through the interactive website. The magical, illustrated, personalised story is then sent directly back to the child, distracting them from the hospital environment. Through the power of stories, they fly to different worlds on the most exciting adventures!
Why we need your support?
With the money raised, we will be able to write and illustrate all the stories that we will need to send to hospitals. We will also be able to create our interactive website, which will tell the parents how to order their free personalised story for their child. As this is a FREE service, we need your support!
About the Author & Illustrator
Hi, I'm Ffion and I am a published children's author and illustrator. For many years I have been co-director of Nurse Ted, a company producing picture books to explain serious illnesses to children. The books are used globally in hospitals and cancer support centres and highlight the power of stories to explain difficult subjects in a comforting but truthful way. Stories are important for children in hospital as they provide escape and distraction. Fly Me Stories allow children to escape their hospitals room and fly to the moon, to different worlds, to magical kingdoms where anything is possible.
