Floyd's is a warm space with free hot food but we're having to move out of the hall due to no heating, need help to heat another place
Dundonald Parish Church supports Floyd's Cafe to provide a "Warm Place" with free hot food once per week. It is a social gathering "Safe space" for the elderly, vulnerable and young mums in our community. It is held in our village hall but the heating is broken and the local authority are not fixing it any time soon and so we need to fund heating in another location as there is no other inclusive group in our village community.

Community impact
This is the only support group and safe space in our village community and it allows our elderly and others to meet, get warm and socialise. We have been running it with no heating for months but the cold weather is making it untennable so we need another venue that is warm as we need to protect and support our elderly, vulnerable and young mums, hence we need help to cover the costs as ourfunds are running very low. We also need a place to house our foodbank.
Why are we crowdfunding?
We continually try to get grant funding from other charities but so is every other group and charity and so crowdfunding is a last ditch attempt to keep this project going for those who need access to it.
We have another space we can use but we need to cover the cost of heat, light and cooking (and costs are rising). There is no sign of the local authority fixing the heating in our old venue and so we need to look to this move being for the mid to long term.
