Help us Repair the Basket Swing after the Fire

Aim

The Basket Swing has been burnt to the ground. We want to repair it as soon as possible to get the playground back to looking its best

Help us to repair the damage from the arson attack and get the playground back to its best.

We are working with Sheffield City Council to fix the damage but it all costs money and time that neither they or we have. Please help us fix it so we can continue our work improving the playground.

We have made Your Playground Better

Since 2017 we have been improving the playground with the help of our community and Sheffield City Council. 

The changes we have made so far have come from raising money from within our community and using this money as match funding towards grants. This has allowed us to spend over £60,000 on new equipment and landscaping. We have received funding from many supporters including; the Ward Pot, Sheffield Town Trust, JG Graves Charitable Trust, Co-op Local Community Fund, South Yorkshire Community Foundation, the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government, the Freemasons and Veolia Environmental Trust.

Money from the community and these grants have helped us deliver:

• new climbing frame
• spinning dish
• balance board
• spinning climber
• planting areas
• benches
• basket swing
• replacement swings
• willow tunnel
• removing of unnecessary fencing
• new gate
• signage
• new climbing frame for older children (it was due to open on the 18th June!)
